After the rise of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds mobile version, it was surely no doubt that Epic Games was also going to be releasing Fortnite for mobile platforms. The first announcement for the mobile version was made in March2018. Players were able to play on iOS platforms a week after the announcement. Epic Games launched Fortenite Mobile in partnership with Samsung. On August 9 Samsung launched Note 9, as part of the launch Epic Games announced that exclusively some Samsung devices will be able to play the beta version for Android. After a few days of the exclusive event, Fornite Mobile beta version was launched in all compatible Android devices.
Though the Android release finally had happened, it didn’t succeed on the Android market as Epic Games decided not to launch the game on Google Play. As a result of that Fortnite didn’t catch the eye of many Android players.
It was a huge success when it came to iOS platforms. Grossing over $20 million after a week of its launch and $300million in 200 days. Its success is no surprise as Fortnite is one of the most anticipated games in the history of gaming.
